Miria Baliddawa – Dynamic Energy Practitioner

A new alternative health practice has opened up on Main Street in Vankleek Hill and we have invited the person behind this new initiative into the studio this evening – her name is Miria Baliddawa – welcome to Live at Six Miria! If the name Miria Baliddawa sounds familiar, that’s because Miria has been working at Wagar and Holland since 1990 and has been an active volunteer with local minor sports associations in Vankleek Hill. Miria graduated from a Bishops University in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science degreeTK_Miria_web and a double major in Biology and Business. Miria decided to begin a family shortly after graduating and was a stay at home mother to 3 boys for 10 years. During this period at home Miria was active as a La Leche League monitor (promoting breastfeeding and infant nutrition and health) for many years and also ran a local Moms and Tots playgroup in VKH.

Miria has always been interested in the field of alternative health and a holistic approach to healthcare. Miria’s grandfather was a very respected medicine man in her native village in Uganda, East Africa and as a young child Miria was exposed to local herbal and native medicines and “alternative health care methods”. Over the years Miria has had the opportunity to interact with specialists in the field of naturopathy, homeopathy, hypnosis (for the treatment and release of long-standing habits and life experiences that are counter-productive to an individual), acupuncture, energy medicine, Reiki and other alternative treatment therapies. Miria believes that there is a way to combine traditional and alternative health care with the outcome being beneficial to the individual.
